Love is one of the most powerful forces in the world, yet its true depth can only be found when it is deeply rooted in Christ. Love without Him is fleeting, influenced by the world’s standards and circumstances. But when we allow His love to be the foundation of ours, we experience a love that is unshakable, transformative, and eternal.
Christ’s love is patient, kind, and sacrificial. 1 Corinthians 13 verse 7 reminds us “It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things”. Is this the kind of love that defines your relationships? Is this the love you show to others and even to yourself? A love rooted in Christ transcends the fleeting emotions of this world and stands firm in faith, trust, and grace.
When your love is grounded in Him, it becomes a reflection of His perfect love, pouring out to those around you. It’s a love that does not depend on what others do for us, but on what Christ has already done. We can forgive as He forgave, serve as He served, and give as He gave. Our love, when firmly rooted in Christ, grows deeper, stronger, and more resilient.
Take time to examine the roots of your love. Is it grounded in your own desires or in the unwavering, unconditional love of Christ? Let His love be the soil in which your love grows, so that you may love others as He has loved you.
Remember, love rooted in Christ is not a passing feeling—it is a CHOICE, a commitment, and a reflection of the very heart of God. Let His love be the source, and watch your life be transformed.
Colossians 2:7
6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
